Our project manager recently joined the first National Geographic Explorers Festival in Washington D.C. for accomplishing research funded by the science and media giant at Masungi Georeserve.
Ann Dumaliang joins more than 130 National Geographic explorers from all over the world to celebrate new discoveries and discuss world-changing ideas in the field of science, conservation, exploration and storytelling.
Among the fascinating scientists present at the event were Neil Tyson, famed astrophysicist and Star Talk host, and James Cameron, an explorer and filmmaker behind Avatar and Titanic.
The National Geographic Society headquartered in Washington D.C. has provided a grant in 2016 for Masungi Georeserve’s biodiversity, culture and landscape. The grant has resulted in the production of educational materials for Masungi Georeserve and its community, including posters, a storybook, conferences and scientific field trips.
