Over 230 community members attend “Bantay Kalikasan, Bantay Kalusugan” medical mission

Participants received free medical consultation and dental services from Masungi Georeserve volunteers on May 29, 2017.

The medical mission focused on providing health assistance to children, elderly and indigenous people from Brgy. Pinugay and Brgy. Cuyambay, Masungi Georeserve’s surrounding communities. These communities have long suffered from the lack of health facilities and specialists in the area.

Volunteers included medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses, medical technologists and dentists, many of whom were former guests of Masungi Georeserve. Guests also donated various medicines and vitamins, which were distributed among the participants.

Partners for the medical mission include the Sitio San Roque, Brgy. Pinugay, Municipality of Baras, Brgy. Cuyambay, and King of Kings Laboratory. The mission is seen to be a recurring event for the years to come.
