Over 30 individuals interested and engaged in the sustainable tourism industry gathered on September 27 for the World Tourism Day 2018 at the Tanlines Lounge in Poblacion, Makati.
The meet-up gave way to conservations on sustainable tourism in the Philippines, tourism issues faced by local and foreign tourists in the country, and possible solutions to the problems at hand.
Professionals, enthusiasts, and advocates from different sectors and interest groups huddled to discuss how to integrate sustainability into the current tourism industry. Insights were also shared on how to ensure sustainable tourism is in the country’s development agenda for the next years and beyond.
The event was spearheaded by Masungi Georeserve, Tanlines Philippines, The Good Trip Ph, and Trail Adventours. The small gathering opens an opportunity for partnership and alliance in the sustainable tourism industry.
