GETTING HERE

The Masungi Georeserve is located in the upland area of Baras, Rizal. It is one of the privately-led conservation areas and gardens in the Philippines. A quick day tour or day trip from Manila, it is accessible via private vehicle transport from the city.

International Transport

The most efficient way to reach the Philippines is through plane transport. There are daily flights to the capital of Metro Manila from most Asian and gateway countries. Planes arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Metro Manila.

Local Transport

The Masungi Georeserve is accessed along Kilometer 47, Marcos Highway, Baras, Rizal, by the municipality of Baras’ boundary with Tanay. It may be reached through a scenic, winding car ride along Marcos Highway.

The entrance is located at the right side of the Marcos Highway road after the Garden Cottages, Foremost Farms and Palo Alto markers in Baras, Rizal, if coming from Metro Manila. Take note to only take Marcos Highway and avoid the Manila-East Road if coming from Metro Manila. The latter is a significantly longer and less reliable route. Distance based on the recommended route is provided below:

From the Ninoy Aquino International Airport: 3-3.5 hours (approximately 51 km), Metro Manila traffic permitting
From Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City, Metro Manila: 1 hour & 15 minutes (approximately 35 km)

TRANSPORT SERVICES

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we do not have other accredited transport service providers for our guests at the moment. To get to the Georeserve, we highly advice bringing of private vehicle for point-to-point travel.

Hop-On, Hop-Off (Manila to Masungi Georeserve)

Our travel partners are currently non-operational due to the ongoing pandemic. Once the situation improves, the Georeserve shall reassess the possibility of reopening travel partnerships with accredited agencies.

Scenic Flights
